# Can I change my currency or time zone?

There are two separate settings in Ctrl+A that affect how your account and campaigns work: **currency** and **time zone**.
Here’s what you can (and cannot) change.



## 1. Currency — fixed after onboarding

The **currency** of your Business Account is set during onboarding and **cannot be changed later**.
All campaign budgets, invoices, and transaction histories are tied to this currency.
If you need to operate in another currency, you can create a **new Business Account** with the desired currency.



## 2. Time zones — flexible and user-controlled

Ctrl+A uses several time zones to ensure campaigns, reports, and billing always align with the correct local context.
All times are stored internally in **UTC**, but displayed and executed according to the relevant time zone settings.

| **User** | ✅ Yes | Controls how times appear in your dashboard and analytics. Each user can adjust their own time zone anytime. |
| **Brand** | ✅ Yes | Determines when campaigns start and end. Changing it affects **future** campaigns only. Existing campaigns continue as scheduled. |
| **Business Account** | ✅ Yes | Used for invoices, billing, and administrative communication (e.g., invoice dates). Changing it affects future invoices only. |
| **System (internal)** | ❌ No | All timestamps are stored in UTC to maintain consistency across time zones. |


When you create a campaign, Ctrl+A automatically converts your chosen start and end times to **UTC for storage** and executes them according to the **Brand’s local time zone**, ensuring your ads start and stop at the correct local business time.


## Summary

* Your **currency cannot be changed** after onboarding.
* **Time zones can be changed** at any time on the user, brand, or business account level.
* All internal data remains in UTC, ensuring global consistency while keeping local times accurate for campaigns and invoices.
